Wine Advocate
Offering up aromas of sweet yellow orchard fruit, honeysuckle, almond paste and freshly baked bread, the 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Blanchots is medium to full-bodied, broad, satiny and textural, with good depth and tension at the core, lively acids and a young, vibrant finish.
Winery Information
Domaine Servin is one of the largest and oldest domain in Chablis, with its establishment since 1547, run by the current 7th generation of the family, Mr. Francois SERVIN - the owner & winemaker. This ownership covers 42 hectares of vineyards on kimmeridgian limestone-clay soils of tiny oyster shells with an average vine age of 40 years. 90% of the productions are exported to 28 countries well around the world.
Wine Note
This vineyard is known for its elegance and generous aromas. The Blanchots is easy to taste early with delicate floral aromas. A rare unoaked Chablis Grand Cru, the 100% tank vinification preserves its delicate fruit/floral flavours but takes nothing away from its long ageing qualities.
Bright rich yellow colour with green reflection. The nose is a complex, fine and elegant at the same time. The minerality is present with an impressive blend of floral and white fruit. The palate is powerful and warm. The ripe aspect of the vintage leads us to yellow fruits (peach). The finish is promsing being ripe, round and fresh. Well balanced Grand Cru.
Pairing
Pair with lobster, fish and poulty.
