A perfect collaboration work of Ezio Cocito & Giorgio Rivetti, of LA SPINETTA. Ezio Cocito has bought a single vineyard in Baluchin in 2000. Given he has no experience in winemaking, he asked his long time friend, Giorgio to manage the vineyard and lend his expertise in winemaking. Winemaking process takes place in the winery & cellar of La Spinetta, consulted by Giorgio Rivetti, who is well-known for making award-winning Barbaresco. In return, Ezio offers help to take care of Giorgio's horses.
Typically, Cocito Barbaresco is with intensely ripe fruit, perfumes of rose, tar and spices. Smooth texture, enhanced by firm structure of ripe tannins & good acidity. They make impressively good wines from a small and young winery.
